The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) has officially expressed its strong interest in hosting matches during the West Indies' home series against India and England next year. This strategic move signals Jamaica's ambition to be a prominent venue for international cricket on the island. The JCA president, Dr. Donovan Bennett, has already initiated discussions with the relevant authorities to formalize this bid.
India is scheduled for an extensive month-long tour beginning next July, which will include two Test matches, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and five T20 Internationals. Following this, England will arrive later in the summer for a series of five T20 Internationals against the West Indies. Jamaica is keen to secure fixtures from both of these significant tours, underscoring its commitment to showcasing top-tier cricket.
