The Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) observed the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks during a solemn gathering held in Theatre 1 at its Lower Manhattan campus. Located just blocks from the World Trade Center site, the institution holds a profound connection to the tragedy that reshaped the nation.
The memorial event featured prominent guest speakers, including former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, alongside remarks from academic leaders, student reflections, and artistic performances.
