Starting at 8 a.m. on 7 September 2026, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) will move four of its outpatient clinics—ENT, Neurology, Paediatrics and Dermatology—to a new site on George Street in Belleville. The new location sits directly opposite the Barbados Vocational Training Board and will serve patients with appointments scheduled from Monday onward. The move is part of the Enmore Redevelopment Project, which will pave the way for a roughly $400 million extension to the hospital’s facilities.

Patients who have appointments at any of the four clinics from Monday are instructed to attend the George Street site instead of the usual QEH outpatient area. The hospital has also cancelled Mr. Christopher Maynard’s 1 p.m. ENT clinic for that day and is contacting affected patients to reschedule. The QEH’s Medical Records team is reaching out to ensure no one is left unaware of the change.

The relocation is intended to minimise disruption while construction begins on the new extension, which will expand QEH’s capacity and modernise its services. The hospital thanked patients and the public for their understanding and cooperation, apologising for any inconvenience caused by the temporary shift.
