The Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre averted a potential shutdown after the Government of Trinidad and Tobago finalized a new ownership and management structure for the landmark property. State-owned Evolving TecKnologies and Enterprise Development Company Limited (eTeCK) purchased all outstanding shares of Hilton International Trinidad Limited. The firm is now a wholly owned subsidiary titled HotelTT Asset Management Company Limited.

Under the updated agreement, the State keeps ownership of the property and its assets, while Hilton maintains operation and management of the site. The Hilton title stays, enabling the venue to preserve its global brand and current reservation platforms. This deal arrived just two weeks prior to the prior lease expiration on September 18, following prior warnings from Hilton regarding a possible closure.
