Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew, reportedly received medical treatment at the University Hospital of Martinique following a stroke, according to regional media. Local reports indicate the 49-year-old leader was admitted to the intensive care unit on the evening of August 31 after suffering from nausea and headaches. Medical specialists provided monitoring and treatment, and reports suggest his condition subsequently stabilized without expected lasting effects.
While the stroke diagnosis has not been officially confirmed by his medical team or the St. Kitts and Nevis government, initial official statements noted he was admitted to the Joseph N. France General Hospital on August 30 due to discomfort and a headache. Following that initial evaluation, attending doctors recommended that he travel overseas for specialized medical monitoring and evaluation.
