The Spanish Town Hospital has strongly rejected allegations of negligence regarding its treatment of a motor vehicle crash victim who has endured a 10-month wait for surgery. Management maintains that the patient, Ralston Thomas, has continuously received medical care and regular evaluations tailored to his specific needs since being admitted following an October 16, 2025 accident that caused a fractured right femur.
Addressing concerns raised after a media report, the medical facility explained that the necessary surgical procedure relies on specific implants. Although requested, the supplier could not fulfill the order at the time. Thomas previously stated that his family raised $187,000 via a GoFundMe campaign toward the procedure and received multiple appointment dates.
